Christian Peau Embroidery On Bags and Coat Sleeves for Fall
New For Fall: Ivan Grundahl
In the last decade, Ivan Grundahl has not only maintained his reputation in Danish fashion, but also internationally, and his influence continues to broaden with every collection. Ivan Grundahl's designs exude a cool, avant-garde and international influence. In his urban outfits, the designer fuses asymmetrical lines, uneven silhouettes, and the clean-cut architectural shapes of Scandinavia. They are sculpted with generous lines and frivolous ruffles showcasing balance, harmony, and freedom of movement. He is unequalled in his cuts and choice of fabrics, with a mix of knits and leather which is superb.

New Arrivals for Fall: Hazel Brown
A successful painter for over ten years, Hazel Brown designer Ali Blankely found her move into fashion to be a very organic transition. With no education or background in fashion, or even the ability to really sew, Blankley took her raw designs and began Hazel Brown. Since then, Blankley's clothes, which she describes as "poverty chic for the creative professional", have landed her coveted spots in two prestigious indie fashion shows, Gen Art - Fresh Faces in Fashion 2005 and The New Garde 2007.
Blankley designs and manufactures her vintage-inspired women's line by hand, with the help of a small staff, in her studio. Hazel Brown is for Blankley as much about the final products as it is about the construction processes. Her fabrics are of the highest quality and are manipulated by special techniques to give them an aged look. The result is lightweight, flowing pieces with simple, comfortable silhouettes.
“I’m not a fashion person. I’m more inspired by history books.” - Hazel Brown designer, Ali Blankley

Amazing New Gary Graham Wool Coat
Trunk Show: Susan Cummings
“The less we mess with a perfect thing, the better we feel.” Susan Cummings’ jewelry experiments with roughened torn edges, silken matte finishes, gypsy set stones, asymmetry – all perfect design elements. “Stones, metal, and people – we’re all in sync. We ARE those elements. We are not machined. My jewelry doesn’t have to be explained to customers because it is a part of who we are; it just makes sense.” Stop by Blanc next week to experience this amazing new jewelry collection! Wednesday, August 13th from 2:00 to 6:00pm
New Fall Arrivals: Gary Graham
Graham is attracted to opposites or contrasts, discovering the particular beauty in dichotomies such as light and dark or rustic and refined. This approach is reflected in his trademark fitted jackets, fluid dresses, blouses and slouchy knits—all rendered in the rich palette and varied textures, achieved through the meticulous washing and dying processes, that are identified with the Gary Graham name. Inspirations for past collections have included fresh reinterpretations of Dust Bowl-era portraits, the gritty opulence of the Romani (gypsy culture), and antique engravings of botanical specimens. Luxe materials such as silk georgette, wool jersey and duchesse satin are constructed using handmade techniques to glide onto the body as comfortably as a T-shirt. Each garment is designed to be worn either individually or combined and layered interchangeably to create multiple wardrobe options and color combinations.
